Minor updates~!

I just spent some time updating the sidebar, so we are now up to date about who is in and who is out. I also included our new residents into the scrolly-bar thingy at the bottom (which I am immensely proud of, so it hasn't been removed even though the page has been revamped). The amount of time I put into coding this HTML is insane.

Here our friend Kiyomi is trying to decide if she should be a boy or a girl. I put it to a vote on one of the BJD groups on Facebook, and an overwhelming majority voted for her to remain as a girl. So girl it is.

A shout out here to my lovelies at "A Touch Of Resin" on Facebook. I am so happy to have found this group, where I can share pictures of my dollies and not have to worry about what others might think of me as a result. They always appreciate some good photo spam, are never too busy to answer my questions, and are not too shy to leave encouragement or just a friendly reply. Oh, and they have GORGEOUS dolls for me to oogle at. You guys have no idea how much I appreciate you!

On a different note, here is our friend Ducky helping me takes sales photos for my wigs. It turned out to be a really bad idea, because now I don't think I should sell some of these anymore. Haha.

And lastly, my little teacup princess got a new wig (it came all the way from Saudi Arabia!) 

In this hobby, there are always hellos and goodbyes.

So, my internet has been down, and it still is, but I thought I should really get on to post a goodbye to one of our oldest residents here at Chateau Miyana.

Yesterday, we bid goodbye to sweet Yuri. My pretty girly boy has finally found a new home. She has gone off now to the home of one of my close friends in the dolly hobby (the previous owner of our lovely Asako), and I'm sure she will be pampered there. But it's still sad for me to say goodbye to this lovely one, who has been with me since I started this hobby.

One week later...

Yes, I'm sorry, I'm a week late posting this news! In fact, I've been so distracted by my new arrival, that I had completely forgotten that I hadn't blogged about her yet! Naughty naughty.

So first things first. Box opening pictures! My grail doll arrived at my place on Monday last week (15th July). I picked her up from the seller after work. I was soooooo excited, I nearly died when the seller told me she was going to be late. But here she is! So tadah! Please enjoy! (Note: I was too excited upon seeing her after opening the box, that I ripped off the bubble wrap before remembering to take a picture!)

Volks Box! She didn't come in her own box, but in SD13 Rinon's box, because her head is on Rinon's body.

That's my gorgeous! Can't wait to take the pillow off and get her out of there!

And yes, you're right. I was impatient again and tore off the face mask the head protection before I manage to get a good pic. So yes, it ended up being a short box opening, skipping right to the exposed head! >.>

Peacock Ladies

My beauties Mihana and Amaya are back from VelvetTiger's place. I took some quick shots of them with random wigs on the day they arrived, but I didn't have time to do anything better because of my friend's wedding the next morning. But, today I sat down and did some proper shots of the lovely pair.

Resident lovers...

Morning and Cloud.

Cloud grew up together with the sisters Morning and Elune, and has always been in love with Morning, who reciprocated his feelings. The two have been inseparable since young, doing everything together, with the much younger Elune tagging along most times. Unfortunately, circumstances caused Cloud to end up betrothed to Elune. Although the two lovers tried to stay apart from each other, in the end it proved futile.

Husband and Wife...

Elune, the little sister of Morning, ended up taking the mantle of Empress of the realms when she was just 16. Two years later, the council of Navi finally settled upon a suitable husband for her, someone who people would willingly recognize as the Empress' consort. This person was Cloud. Although Cloud loved her sister deeply, he put aside the relationship to heed the call of duty. Their marriage was a peaceful one, and they even produced the much anticipated heir... but Cloud never stopped longing for Morning, and Elune too, had her own secrets.

 Secretly more than friends...

Elune and Dante.

Assuming regency of the realms at a very young age, Elune coped with the demands of her role by sometimes escaping into the wilderness at the borders the Hume realm in disguise. During one of these escapades, she met a young Hume man named Dante. They fell in love with each other, and they promised to meet up at the same place and the same time every week. These secret meetings carried on for a year, but unfortunately came to an end when it was decided that Elune was to be married to Cloud. It was at this point that Dante finally learned the true identity mysterious girl he was in love with. Unable to return to a life without Elune, but also unable to remain close to her, Dante began to live on the border between their two realms, where the two of them first met. Elune too, despite being trapped by the confines of her duty, continued to love and pine for Dante.

Dark is the night.

I did some night shots on my balcony earlier. Morning was a real champ and she posed like the goddess that she is. Just thought I'd share some of these because she is absolutely stunning.

I also played with some edits. I love the blue one especially. I made it with the cross-processing effect on Picasa.
