A breath of fresh air.

I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to take any photos of my lovelies until now! Anyhow, I was contemplating trading my Lati Yellow Elena off for a Tan Sunny, but then I tried a new wig on her, and she looks so adorable, I just couldn't do it! So then I decided I would change her name, because firstly, the wintery themed name would suit my F-20 better, and secondly, as my friend put it, "she looks more like summer".

So here she is with her new wig. Her name is now Natsuri (which means "in summer" or "summertime"). Isn't she just adorable?

So now my MSD F-20, who is still out being customized as a Snow Princess, is going to take over the name Fuyumi (which means "winter beauty"). I've decided to post little sneak peek at how the process is going, since the face-up is complete, and the artist has already shared it on her own page.

So apparently, the face-up appears more faded in person.

I'm so happy I finally got out of my slump and got back to taking pictures of my girls.

Manlier? Or not?

A comparison of Cloud before and after he got re-faced. The original Migidoll default face-up was very very orange in person, it came out to be a light brown in photos, but still, very light. I sent him to the face-up artist with the request that he become more manly but still look gentle. The first time she sent a photo back to me, I didn't like it because she had darkened everything, and he looked very colorless. So I asked her to put more color on the cheeks and lips. What do you guys think of the new face-up?

This is a comparison photo of Cloud in the same wig and outfit before and after his new face-up. I had to change his wig to a black one because I felt that the white no longer suited him.

Cloud got manly.

Or at least, I tried to make him more manly, so I sent him off for a new face-up.

This is the photo I took when he first came back. I think he looks very troubled. Or maybe constipated. A friend of mine called it a "jizz-face"...I can see where she's coming from, haha.

And then I decided the white wig didn't suit him anymore. Because the face-up artist who painted him sent a photo of him with a black wig on, and I really liked the look of him in that color, I decided to get one.

So here he is, I brought him out to a meet with my friend so he could try on a few styles, eventually I settled on this one. I think it makes him look much more gentle.

A photo taken by my friend MK (Golden Tales/ lipstock), who sold me the wig. She has a DSLR camera and a great eye, I love this picture so much!

And lastly, a photo of him with "bed hair". I got this one completely by accident. My friend had posed him laying on the table, and then when I sat him up, it looked like this. So then I had to grab a shot!

So well...maybe not so manly, huh? Haha.

Peacock Ladies

My beauties Mihana and Amaya are back from VelvetTiger's place. I took some quick shots of them with random wigs on the day they arrived, but I didn't have time to do anything better because of my friend's wedding the next morning. But, today I sat down and did some proper shots of the lovely pair.

The Other Thing...

That I am absolutely bursting with excitement about, is that my twin peacock girls (they aren't really twins, but still) are coming home soon!

The absolutely wonderful VelvetTiger has been updating me with photos of her progress, and I am completely IN LOVE with the work she's done on them. I wanted to wait till they were completed to show these pictures, because I wanted to surprise everyone...but I can't wait anymore!

I commissioned her to do a pair of peacock-inspired face-ups. I sketched out what I wanted on paper, and sent her the drawings...they were terrible drawings, let me tell you, and I am still shocked that she managed to produce exactly the image I had in my mind (because I'm sure I didn't convey it too well on paper!)

As you can see below, the plan was to have a Dark version with the color scheme of jewel tones - green, purple and blue; and the a Light version, in yellow, pink, pastel blue and light green. The detailing she has put into it is immense (keep in mind that these are Soom Teenie Gems...they have ridiculously small heads)!

As of now, they are complete and she will be sending me photos either tonight or tomorrow! And then they will be on their way back!

My ridiculously terrible sketches:
(Sorry, they are a bit difficult to see!)

Wew...

It's been ages since I last posted anything, I know. Since that time, Neru has of course come back from her trip to the face-up artist to be re-uinted with Yume.

Apart from that, Asako is having a complete make-over into a tiny fairy kei girl, so I've sent her off for face-up with Allemarthe. The outfit below was custom made by Arion of Eccentric Romance and the wig by Monstrodesigns. Much love to them for making one of my dreams come to life :)

Also, we've had a couple of new members join the family in the meantime:

Meron - Volks Yo-tenshi Ken

 Yukina - Volks Yo-tenshi Kasumi

Amaya (left) - Soom Human Beyla and Mihana (right) -Soom Human Minette

Rini - Circuskane Suzy

And a currently nameless floating Migidoll Sleeping Miho head.

Also, Dante has left the Chateau to go on a long journey.

Work In Progress...

So much custom work is in progress for my resin kids. Been all over the place looking for people who can create what I need to complete each look. For now the only one I feel is really close to being complete is Kaibara, her faceup, wig and eyes are already done. As for the rest...

Mori - Something doesn't sit right with me when it comes to Mori...But at the moment, I have no idea what to do with her, so she will stay as is.

Morning - I sent her off to the face-up artist recently, and her face-up has been completed. I am very happy with it. Attempting to commission a wig to go with it. Speaking of her face-up, I am very impressed with it.

Before Photo: Taken by Nix.
After Photo: Taken by the face-up artist Allemarthe.
Morning's new face-up, by a local face-up artist, Allemarthe (Likhang Mukha Aesthetics). The eyes are her original eyes (which I plan to change) and the wig belongs to the artist.

Elune - I already love her face-up, so unless something does happen to it, I'm going to leave it. Have yet to find a wig or an outfit than I feel will really suit her, but I already have an idea of what kind of look I'm aiming for.

Dante - Bleh. I don't hate his face-up...actually, I do.  I hate it very much. Honestly, as much as I love him, I have to admit that I am purely keeping him due to emotional attachment rather than any love for his look. Can't decide what to do about him.

Kaibara - She's amazing. Her face-up is amazing and her wig and eyes are amazing. She just needs some shoes really.

As for the little ones: I am quite settled with Momo and Tomo...I probably won't make any changes to these two anytime soon. The rest that I have decided to keep face-ups for are Yuri, Yume and Mizzy. Akari is out for re-face...I may redo his face-up if I don't like it (Oh wait, I forgot he's become a her now!). I haven't even half figured out what to do with Asako, and I don't feel like changing Shiina due to sentimental reasons.

So that's that for now.

Guess who's back?

I posted here before about Kaibara's amazing transformation, and now she is home! The tattoo/face-up artist posted her back early, even before I paid the shipping fee (She must trust me alot huh!). Anyhow I dressed her up and put on her wig (that Mori was "borrowing" before). I had to trim the fringe of the wig a little...but she looks stunning!

Here she is! I thought I'd share some of my excitement!

Kaibara Returns!

I don't think I've posted anything about her here yet, but my SDC Sora, Kaibara is coming home soon. :) I sent her off to Texas for face-up and tattooing. I think the artist, VelvetTiger, did an amazing job bringing my idea to life. It started out as a very basic concept, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it came out beautifully, I am certainly pleased.

Out of all my dolls, Kai has been the one to go through the most change. To be very honest, when I got her, it was because I wanted a readily available MSD-sized doll on which to conceptualize this tattoo. She started out like this:

After I dressed her up a bit, and gave her a new outfit, she really started to grow on me. I had some misgivings about sending her off for the tattoo, because I had somewhat grown to like her sweet expression. In the end, I still sent her off.

Now she looks like this. From sweet to sassy. I quite like it....In fact, I love it. She still has that hint of sweetness underneath. A mysterious, lethal kind of sweet.

Right now, this is just a photo of the completed job that the artist sent me. Wonder what she'll look like after I dress her up?
