Another one leaves the nest.

Momoki left today. The buyer was suddenly able to complete her layaway, and she paid me (almost) in full. I feel a bit sad at parting with her, but I'm sure her new owner will be good to her. Feeling a bit nostalgic now, thinking about Momo and Tomo together. One of the other reasons I let Momo go, was also because I felt like she wasn't really herself after Tomo went. Tomo has gone on to another new home recently - a lovely guy who is new to the BJD hobby, and whom I had the pleasure to talk to. I know from our conversation that he adores that little boy. I hope Momo will find the same kind of loving home.

A couple of my favorite pictures of the pair:

After the sad news, some happy news! Now that Momo has been paid for, the funds I am getting mean that I can now pay off my layaway for Yu Morisawa in full after my payday next week. Really looking forward to that! And my lovely peacock girls are on their way home too!

The night is full of mysterious and beautiful things.

Someone offered layaway for my lovely Momoki, so she will be off to a new home soon. I didn't expect Momo to find a new home before Yuri, but I guess that's how it's going to be. The sale was a little frustrating, with the buyer making all sorts of request and asking all a manner of questions, but hopefully she will go through with the sale tomorrow, so I can bring my Yu Morisawa home earlier.

Momoki's dress, made by the lovely Arion of EccentricRomance now belongs to Chisaki. I teamed the dress with the rose eyepatch from my other set, and took a couple of shots. I cleaned Chibi-chan up as well (goodness, she was filthy), and now she looks much happier and brighter. Unfortunately, while cleaning, I noticed even more chipping in her face-up, and now I am wondering if I should change it. Luckily, most of the damage is hidden by the wig.

I was playing around with the flash, after some discussion with fellow dolly owner ChibiLemon (the link to his Ipernity account is in the sidebar), and I ended up with these two photos. In my opinion, they are both lovely. And each lighting adds it's own atmosphere to the photo. While she looks fierce and yet ethereal in the first picture, she looks mellow and more adorable in the second one. I find it very interesting how the exposure can affect her facial expression so much.

Here is a photo of Eden together with Chibi, wearing the matching boy outfit, teamed with a skull (yes, that is  the Soom Slit/Keny skull!). She looks so gentlemanly, I could almost forget she's a girl!

And this photo is from Tuesday :) I took it because I missed my girls. Two sleeping beauties!

Someone complimented my photography today, so I am really stoked! I've been trying to improve my shots, and he gave me some tips as well. <3

The Other Thing...

That I am absolutely bursting with excitement about, is that my twin peacock girls (they aren't really twins, but still) are coming home soon!

The absolutely wonderful VelvetTiger has been updating me with photos of her progress, and I am completely IN LOVE with the work she's done on them. I wanted to wait till they were completed to show these pictures, because I wanted to surprise everyone...but I can't wait anymore!

I commissioned her to do a pair of peacock-inspired face-ups. I sketched out what I wanted on paper, and sent her the drawings...they were terrible drawings, let me tell you, and I am still shocked that she managed to produce exactly the image I had in my mind (because I'm sure I didn't convey it too well on paper!)

As you can see below, the plan was to have a Dark version with the color scheme of jewel tones - green, purple and blue; and the a Light version, in yellow, pink, pastel blue and light green. The detailing she has put into it is immense (keep in mind that these are Soom Teenie Gems...they have ridiculously small heads)!

As of now, they are complete and she will be sending me photos either tonight or tomorrow! And then they will be on their way back!

My ridiculously terrible sketches:
(Sorry, they are a bit difficult to see!)

The Finished Product:

The two heads together...I'm so in love!

Photos of the finished product, coming soon!

Upgrading again!

Yes, the Chateau is presently undergoing some changes (I like to tweak things every now and then), so I hope you like the new layout when it's all done!

In the meantime, some lovely picture spam :p

Eden, taking over Tomoki's outfit. Doesn't she look like a dashing prince?

I tried again to style Mio's new wig. I think it looks much better now!

Yume and Neru having a little playtime on my new balcony :)

Elune in a photo I took because of a request from someone to see her lip mod :)

Our new friend now has a name! Her name is Kiyomi! And here she is enjoying her first local BJD Meet with Asako!

Asako, looking as adorable as ever. I got some wonderful comments about her wig, face-up and outfit during the meet.
