Happy Birthday Elune!

First things first, it's been a year Elune has moved into Chateau Miyana, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweetheart! I decided to do a little photostory for her. I kind of reshuffled which kids belong to who, but I haven't updated that yet on here. Anyway, Hiyori is now Elune's younger daughter. Don't they look sweet together? They have so much chemistry, I think I really made the right choice here!

These are the individual shots I took, after processing. I didn't use all of them because of space constraints, but I love them all!

And lastly, photos of the gorgeous birthday girl herself, in color and black and white. She always photographs so beautifully from straight on.

Better late than never, right?

So, I have been lazy on the updates again. No surprise here. But today someone posted a question about how many dolls each person has on one of my BJD groups on Facebook, so I decided to make a collage to illustrate my not-so-little little family.

Can you guess which one is the guy? They all look like girls, don't they!

Other than that, I haven't posted photos of the mini photoshoots I did for Ducky and Tsukika, so here they are. I love this new outfit from Ducky. I got it from a friend at a dollmeet last Friday (which I have yet to post photos of as well, oh gosh).

Which is better, normal or sepia?

And last but not least, Shiina has found a new home! He's been on hold for a while, but the little girl who was saving up for him finally got enough money to put down the deposit. So anyway, her mother made a special request, which resulted in me taking this picture.

Miss Mio and her little secret.

Well, it's not such a secret secret, I suppose, that our Miss Mio has a bit of a split personality. She's a bit like Hannah Montana, or those normal schoolgirls with secret identity as an idol in some (actually quite a few!) manga. I must say that no matter what role she's in, she is certainly quite vain either way.

New best friends~

I met up with my lovely friend on Sunday. She just recently got her first very own bjd, a gorgeous but very shy Volks SDM Chloe. I brought Mio out to make friends with her girl, whose name is Chiyori. They hit off really well, even though Chiyori was very shy at first. I managed to take some very lovely shots, and wanted to share them with everyone.

A little bit shy~ Mio trying to be friendly

After a while they started to whisper to each other secrets while giggling away~

Bosom buddies already~ Within a few minutes!

Sharing is caring! Sharing their toys with each other :)
Individual posing! Mio loves this part, she is always ready to be photographed (she is certainly not just a little bit vain!), but Chiyori was really shy about it, and kept looking at me as if to say "why do you have to take my picture?"

Hope you guys enjoy the photos!

I did a naughty thing yesterday.

I put a new girl on layaway. If you guys have been following my blog (honestly, I sure hope there's at least one person!), you will know that I have had Volks Yo-tenshi Hinata on my wishlist for a long time. But I always felt like she was a bit of an expensive one for a Yo-sd, when I can get a Volks SD16 for nearly the same price.

But I found one on the MP in DOA for a reasonable price (still steep, but less so), and caved in. The main selling point for this girl was that the seller let me have a really long (5 month) layaway, because I sure as heck could have never afforded her otherwise. So that got me; hook, line and sinker.

So, for those of you who don't know yet, this is Volks Hinata:

And she will come home in early Feb unless I can pay off my layaway much sooner.

Sunrise, sunrise.

...looks like morning in your eyes...

So yes, Morning got a new wig from my wonderful friend in the USA, VelvetTiger. It's from Dollmore, which I have never bought anything from before. I love the color and the style. The fibres are not as soft as I would have liked, and the wig is quite frizzy at the ends, with some flyaways, possible because it's second hand. The wig cap also shows from certain angles. It looks absolutely stunning on her though.

I also spent a couple of hours washing, trimming and untangling Cloud's wig.

Playing catch-up.

So, I've been taking lots of pictures the last week or so, but I've been too lazy to blog (I'm sorry!) So after my package arrived and I dressed Hiyori up (see previous post), I felt a bit less lazy. So here is a short summary the week's updates in photos.

1. Did a couple of shots of my shy little Tsukika. I seldom photograph her, but I had dressed her up ready to go out and meet a friend. So I decided to take a couple of shots.

 2. Ducky got a new wig from our friend Suke33. I really love the colors!

3. Ducky's new eyes arrived too, but they really didn't suit her. So I did a swap with Morning...and just look at them! Morning is rocking those green urethanes from ED! And the blue really suits Ducky much better. <3

4. Took some random shots of Rini hiding in a lamp. She's a funny little thing, this one.

5. A shoot for my lovely Rinka. She is up for sale, but honestly, I just love her little face and pouty expression. I almost feel bad about letting her go, but no one seems to be interested yet, so she's here to stay for now.

6. Asako had some fun with a pink plush bunny. I actually ordered a new wig for her, but then I decided to give her the Leeke Art Mia that Kiyomi is wearing. Haven't gotten around to taking pictures of that though.

And then of course, Hiyori got a name and a complete make-over. I posted photos in the previous post, so I won't post any more here.

And that's it for this post, more coming in a min.

"A special name for a special girl."

The post title today is a quote from one of my friends regarding my newest girl's name. I decided to give her a rather uncommon name, Hiyori, which means weather. I was considering calling her Hitomi before, because of her beautiful green eyes, but it just didn't sit so well. But then looking on a baby names site, I found this name, as she just took to it like a duck to water. And it sounds beautiful to boot.

Part of the reason I finally decided to settle of a name for her today, is that I dressed her up in a completely new look. Some of the things I had been waiting for arrived, and I threw them together with some of the stuff I already had. The results? Completely, mind-blowingly adorable.

So yes, even though I am going to be late for my dinner, I had to share.

Isn't she just such a sweetheart? She still looks a little bit lost, but everything goes so wonderfully together. I am really really over the moon about this.
