New Wig Day!

After waiting for like...forever (a month really, but it felt like it), China Post finally decided to get it's act together and my package (10" Tibetan Mohair Wigs from Natrume on Etsy/DOA) arrived today! Yay!

I was really excited to try the new wigs (especially on Mori!), but...

OMG! IT'S EATING HER HEAD!

So well yes....the wig is...a tad big for her. Which I am really disappointed about, because the color looks EFFING AWESOME.

But anyway, Akimme (Shameless Plug: the link to her blog is on the side! Go check it out!) suggested I style it so that the hair is pulled back away from her face.

YAY IT WORKS!

I just brushed the top part to one side and pinned it up behind. And wow, it does really make a difference! She looks amazing <3 I am really happy about it actually :D

The Khaki wig was meant for Morning, but she pinched Mori's wig to try on as well. I think the red is a bit too somber for her though. I asked for some opinions on our BJD facebook group, and most people voted for the Khaki, which I guess makes her look younger.

Introductions!

Surprise! My SD16 Megu arrived today :D Whee! I am so ecstatic! Here she is all wrapped up:

I had a little bit of trouble unpacking her. Thank goodness for not taking box opening videos. I seriously looked like a dumbass trying to figure out how to get the doll's box out of the cardboard box they use for shipping.

I got another surprise when I discovered that my ELUTS package also arrived at the same time. I had a minor panic attack though when I opened the packaged and saw that 1) Some of the items I ordered seemed to be missing and 2) There was a wig there that I didn't order.

However, after a good 10 mins of panicking, I opened the box for my Honey Delf and realized they had put the rest of the order items inside. And funny enough, they put the wig I had ordered for someone else inside the box too. So I guess the wig that I didn't order is the random wig that is suppose to come with my doll. Whew.

Speaking of my Honey Delf, here she is:

Argh! She is too cute! I was planning on  selling her, since I have too many tinies already...but I just can't resist that expression!

She's definitely staying. Her name is Sumomo, and she is a Honey Delf Choux. I really like the default faceup I got with her! Everytime I look at her I just want to go "awwww~"...

NEW ARRIVAL ALERT!

I have been a little too sick to make any updates...however...I really have to introduce my new addition~!

This is Morianna :) I got her like this, except she was naked and had light green eyes. When I took these pics, I had already changed her eyes to a pair of blind grey 14mm eyes from ELUTS and thrown some of the only SD clothes I had lying around on her. You can't tell, but she has no pants :( I used a hairband to make her a makeshift skirt.

Just a little gripe, but I seriously hated the black wig she came with. The wig itself is gorgeous, but on her...it makes her forehead look massive (as seen in above pic). I don't like the way her faceup photographs...but it looks amazing when you see it in person.

In any case, the poor dear got detained down at the Immigration and Checkpoint offices, because I didn't pay taxes, so I had to go bail her out. So she doesn't look particularly happy, as you can see. Souldoll Agnetha is one of my grail dolls, and they've discontinued her, so I was really really happy to find one on ebay (in white skin no less!). She came all the way from Miriam Jones in New Jersey, USA. Miriam told me she was gorgeous and I would love her...and I certainly do.

I was planning to give her a japanese name, like the rest of my clan, but somehow nothing seemed to suit her. Honestly, when I first laid eyes on her, the name that popped into my head was "Morgana". I found that name rather cliche...not one of my faves, I'll admit. In the end we settled on Morianna. A compromise for us both I guess. It's a pretty name, isn't it?

I did go down to Alice88 and give her a slight makeover though (since I was taking Shiyuri down to be re-stringed).
