What will come in the next year? Only eight (exactly half!) of the sixteen dolls I had at the beginning of the year are following me into the new year. What changes will 2014 bring to the family? We'll just have to wait and see! I have a feeling it will be an awesome year.

Manlier? Or not?

A comparison of Cloud before and after he got re-faced. The original Migidoll default face-up was very very orange in person, it came out to be a light brown in photos, but still, very light. I sent him to the face-up artist with the request that he become more manly but still look gentle. The first time she sent a photo back to me, I didn't like it because she had darkened everything, and he looked very colorless. So I asked her to put more color on the cheeks and lips. What do you guys think of the new face-up?

A Strawberry Good Christmas

Did you see what I did there? No? Oh well, it was a terrible pun anyway.

The latest news is that Kai finally reached her new owner, after a month of disappearing and complete absence of any kind of tracking updates. So now, I can finally introduce Ichigo, who actually arrived before Sachi and Fuyumi. I got her in a trade for Kai, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep her if my package didn't turn up. But yesterday I got a notice from the person on the other end that my package had arrived at her post office! So huzzah!

I haven't decided if Ichigo is going to stay or not in the long run, I am having some bonding issues with her right now, but I guess we will wait and see.

So anyway here is Ichigo on the right, with her older twin sister Meron. :)

Cloud got manly.

Or at least, I tried to make him more manly, so I sent him off for a new face-up.

This is the photo I took when he first came back. I think he looks very troubled. Or maybe constipated. A friend of mine called it a "jizz-face"...I can see where she's coming from, haha.

And then I decided the white wig didn't suit him anymore. Because the face-up artist who painted him sent a photo of him with a black wig on, and I really liked the look of him in that color, I decided to get one.

So here he is, I brought him out to a meet with my friend so he could try on a few styles, eventually I settled on this one. I think it makes him look much more gentle.

And lastly, a photo of him with "bed hair". I got this one completely by accident. My friend had posed him laying on the table, and then when I sat him up, it looked like this. So then I had to grab a shot!

So well...maybe not so manly, huh? Haha.

Hello Goodbye

So I just wanted to update on the latest changes to the family. There have been quite a few farewells and welcomes since I last updated, which was a while ago. (OMG! I just realised I haven't posted anything in nearly 2 months!)

The Goodbyes

Due to personal circumstances, I had to put quite a number of my girls up on the market, which I was devastated about. These little ones have already found new homes to take them in, which gives me some measure of comfort.

Rinka, left on 30th October.

Kaibara, left on 18th November.

Morianna, left on 20th November.

Mihana, left on 6th December.

...and then on to some happier news.

The Welcomes

I had jumped into way way way too many layaways, and then I suddenly realised they were all supposed to end at the same time. Luckily, I managed to pay them all off, so these little girls were able to come home.
